Chemical Brothers

The Chemical Brothers are a British electronic music duo comprising Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, who met at the University of Manchester.Initially they called themselves “The Dust Brothers.” They changed their name in 1995 given the preexisting American duo “The Dust Brothers,” their burgeoning popularity and the threat of legal action from the originals. Thus, their first CD as The Chemical Brothers is titled Exit Planet Dust.Along with The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, The Crystal Method, Underworld, Orbital, Apollo 440 and a few other lesser-known acts, they were pioneers at bringing the big beat electronic dance genre to the forefront of pop culture. They are known for their high-quality DJ sets, an example of which can be found on their CD Brothers Gonna Work It Out.Many of their tracks have been in the UK charts as well as those in other countries. Wide belief is that their best album is “Surrender”, although they are known for producing a style which evolves greatly between albums.

Article A

A quartet of dedicated rockers, Article A is primed to make their big splash with the debut album Stay Now, due out in early 2008. Hailing from North Jersey, the band has grown from a local band, who earned their stripes performing around their hometowns, to a true touring band. Their unique blend of power-pop and alternative rock has garnered interest in the industry since their inception in 2000.Heavily rooted in Jersey, childhood friends Christian LaGrotteria (lead singer) and Joe Haight (bass) formed Article A with Evan Gallipoli (drummer) out of a mutual appreciation for music. Later adding Gary Kramer (guitar), the band went to work, playing whenever and wherever they could. Soon, the band’s hard work and dedication paid off as they landed a soundtrack placement, had a number one video on satellite music channel TVU and played for numerous major festivals. Finally, the icing on the cake came when the band signed a record deal with songwriter Denise Rich’s independent label 785 Records. In 2006, Article A joined the 785 family and began the journey that would lead to a truly incredible first album. The band spent much of the next two years writing, recording and practicing. They recorded Stay Now last fall at New Jersey’s Water Music with engineer/mixer David Thoener (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen) and producers PJ Bianco and Mark Eichner. “We are proud to have Article A as our first full-length release on 785,” Eichner states, who is also the President of 785 Records. “I sincerely believe in this band and their debut album is a true example of our dedication to artist development.”With a live show that is short of comparisons and songs abundant in solid rock hooks, it is easy to see how Article A engage their audience and leave them wanting more. “As a band, we love connecting with people when we’re in front of a crowded club or talking to a fan outside a venue. It’s definitely not money or notoriety that gives us purpose, but creating that connection that justifies us being able to do what we do,” says Kramer.

BabyShambles

Babyshambles are an English indie rock band established in London. The band was formed by Pete Doherty during a hiatus from his former band The Libertines, but Babyshambles has since become his main project. Babyshambles draws inspiration from the punk and ska genres, and has released two albums, one EP and a number of singles. The band has received a great deal of attention from the British tabloid press as a result of interest in Doherty's personal life.In mid- 2003, Pete Doherty was banned from playing with The Libertines until he could overcome his substance abuse problems. As a response, Doherty formed an alternate band, and recruited former Libertines line-up man, Steve Bedlow as vocalist. Initially, Doherty planned on calling his new band "T' Libertines", because of the band's Yorkshire connection - the line up of the band at the time consisted mainly of Yorkshiremen. On the night Babyshambles' first gig was scheduled to take place, Doherty was arrested for burgling Barât's flat. After he was charged and released, his friend Dean Fragile organized a new gig at the Tap'n'Tin. The performance received mixed reviews.Doherty was sentenced to six months imprisonment for his crime. His sentence was later reduced on appeal to two months. When he was released from prison, Doherty rejoined The Libertines[1] and sidelined the Babyshambles project. However, he found time to record the band's first single "Babyshambles", which was released in April 2004 on High Society Records. The single was limited to 2000 CDs and 1000 7" vinyl copies.[2]In the early summer of 2004, Doherty once again found himself cast out of The Libertines because of his drug use.[3] As a result, Doherty brought Babyshambles to the fore with Patrick Walden on guitar, Gemma Clarke on drums and Peter Perrett's two sons, Jamie and Peter Junior, on guitar and bass respectively. Doherty organised several gigs and the band began to gain respect in their own right, even though Doherty missed a number of appearances. The band's line-up underwent several changes before stabilizing during the late summer of 2004 with Doherty on vocals, Patrick Walden on guitar, Gemma Clarke on drums and Drew McConnell on bass.In January and February 2008 Babyshambles played their biggest European tour to date. Babyshambles are due to play at a lot of festivals this Spring and this Summer, especially in France. In June they will play at Hove Festival in Norway. In August they will headline the RadioOne/NME Stage of the Reading and Leeds Festivals. However, a large amount of their scheduled tours may be cancelled due to Doherty's recent imprisonment. On April 8th, it was announced that Babyshambles was going to release A CD/DVD live untitled "Oh! What A Lovely Tour" on June 2nd. The concert was recorded during the winter leg of the UK arena tour at the SECC Glasgow on the 2nd of December. Growning speculation suggested that Babyshambles would be unable to make all tour dates for 2008, but in a recent interview with NME "Doherty added that he will honour all his booked live commitments with Babyshambles, but will not book further gigs until his solo album is finished". The band is heading into studios to record 9 demos for their third upcoming album.

Hamburger

A hamburger (or simply a burger) is a sandwich that consists of a cooked patty made of ground meat and is generally served with various garnish or condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, onion, relish, pickles, and cheese toppings, placed inside a sliced Hamburger bun, often baked specially for this purpose, or pieces of bread, toast. The meat patty is beef, unless otherwise noted.Hamburger also refers to the cooked patty of ground meat by itself The patty alone is also known as a beefburger, or burger. Adding cheese makes it a cheeseburger. Hamburger is actually a distinct product from ground round and other types of ground meat. However, ground beef of any form is often commonly referred to as "hamburger." A recipe calling for 'hamburger' (the non-countable noun) would require ground beef or beef substitute- not a whole sandwich. The word hamburger comes from Hamburg steak, which originated in the German city of Hamburg. Contrary to what folk etymology might lead one to believe, there is no actual 'ham' in a hamburger.According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the term "hamburger" comes from Hamburg steak, which was first recorded in English in 1884 but was used back as far as the 1600's when Ghengis Khan's soldiers put their patties under their saddles to tenderise them. A form of pounded beef called "Hamburg Steak" was common in Hamburg in the middle of the 19th century. The recipe was brought to North America by the large numbers of people emigrating from Germany at the time, many of whom passed through the port of Hamburg. There is indirect evidence for its use on an American menu in 1836. The form hamburger steak first appeared in a Washington state newspaper in 1889. The first recipe close to the current idea of a hamburger, using ground beef mixed with onion and pepper, dates from 1902.[3] The Oxford English Dictionary of 1802, on the other hand, defines "Hamburg Steak" simply as cured beef. In a time without refrigerators, when it took weeks to travel from Europe to the USA, cured meat was a standard food for poor US immigrants, who often started from Hamburg (which was and is the biggest German seaport and one of the biggest in the world). In a tween deck, where cooking is nearly impossible, cutting tough cured beef into pieces and putting it between slices of bread may suggest itself. In North America burgers can be divided into two main types: fast food hamburgers and individually-prepared ones made in homes and sit down restaurants. The latter are traditionally prepared "with everything" (or "all the way," "deluxe," "the works," "through the garden," or in some regions "dressed"), which includes lettuce, tomato, onion, and often sliced pickles (or pickle relish). Cheese (usually processed cheese slices but often cheddar, Swiss, or blue, either melted on the meat patty or crumbled on top), is generally an option. Condiments are usually added to the hamburger, but they may be offered separately ("on the side"), with the two most common condiments being mustard and tomato ketchup. However, mayonnaise, other salad dressings, and barbecue sauce are also popular. Traditional "Texas" hamburgers and cheeseburgers usually omit other liquid condiments besides mustard. Other popular toppings include bacon, avocado or guacamole, sliced sautéed mushrooms, cheese sauce and/or chili (usually without beans). Heinz 57 sauce is popular among burger enthusiasts. Somewhat less common additions/ingredients include fried egg, scrambled egg, feta cheese, blue cheese, salsa, Jalapenos and other kinds of chile peppers, anchovies, slices of ham, pastrami or teriyaki-seasoned beef, tartar sauce, french fries or potato chips.

About Cupcake

A cupcake (the common US term) or fairy cake (the common British term, although it is now used interchangeably with the US term) is a small cake designed to serve one person, usually made in a small paper cup container; another reason why they are sold in groups. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations, such as sprinkles, are defining characteristics of modern cupcakes. The name of "cupcake" is given as it is a small cake the size of a teacup. In previous centuries, before muffin tins were widely available, the cakes were often baked in individual pottery cups, ramekins, or molds. The name "fairy cake" is a fanciful description of its size; an appropriate size for a party of diminutive fairies to share.Cupcakes are often served during a celebration, such as children's birthday parties. Additionally, they can be served as an accompaniment to afternoon tea. They are a more convenient alternative to cake as they are smaller and don't require utensils or division into individual portions.

Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 17, 1963. His parents, James and Delores Jordan, moved to Wilmington, North Carolina when he was still a toddler. Jordan has two older brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister.Jordan loved to play baseball when he was a child, and also played some basketball and football. His love for basketball began when his older brother, Larry, continuously beat him in one-on-one pickup games. As with any challenge Jordan faces, this determined Michael to become a better player.Jordan played basketball for Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. Ironically, Jordan was cut from the varsity team as a sophomore. Instead of giving up after failing to make the team, Jordan used it to spur himself to greater achievements, practicing hour after hour on the court. "Whenever I was working out and got tired and figured I ought to stop, I'd close my eyes and see that list in the locker room without my name on it," Jordan said, "and that usually got me going again." He eventually made the team and led it to the state championship.Jordan accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of North Carolina. As a freshman, Jordan's ever-growing popularity began when he scored the game-winning basket in the 1982 NCAA championship game against the Georgetown Hoyas. Jordan was selected college player of the year in the 1983-84 season, and led the US Men's Basketball Team to an Olympic Gold Medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics under coach Bobby Knight.Jordan left college and entered the NBA in 1984, he was selected third in the draft (First pick: Houston--Hakeem Olajuwon; second pick: Portland--Sam Bowie) by the Chicago Bulls, a team that had won only 28 games the previous season. Ironically, Jordan played in his first game as a pro against Washington on Oct. 26, 1984. Jordan became an immediate impact in the league and proved that he belonged among the elite players. He finished his rookie season as one of the top scorers in the league, averaging 28.2 points per game, was named Rookie of the Year, and also made the All-Star team. Jordan led the Bulls into the playoffs in every season, but didn't make the NBA Finals until 1991, where he led the Bulls to their first of three consecutive NBA Championships (1991, 1992, and 1993).Jordan played in the 1992 summer Olympics with the original Dream Team, perhaps the greatest team ever assembled. It was the first time NBA players were allowed to compete in the Olympics. Michael Jordan averaged 12.7 points per game as the USA Dream Team went 6-0 to win the gold medal, Jordan's second in his career.

dwyane tyrone wade jr.

From unheralded draft pick to fast evolving NBA star, Dwyane Wade has experienced a whirlwind career in fewer than two years. Perhaps this might have been expected of a player widely known as “Flash”.In my first season (2003-04), a Chicago-area native who also flashed his athletic brilliance for Marquette University, achieved NBA All-Rookie Team status with the Miami Heat. Before i knew it, Dwyane was an Olympian, representing the United States in the 2004 Athens Summer Games.former teammate of shaq!.O’Neal is on the record saying that Dwyane is the most phenomenal second-year player he has seen since himself, and has praised his young teammate for possessing “fire” and “heart”, and all of the qualities of a great competitor as the Heat have emerged as the team to beat in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.Dwyane joined the Heat as the fifth pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. In 56 starts, Dwyane averaged a solid 16.2 points in 35 minutes per game, and was one of the reasons the Heat emerged as an unlikely #4 seed in the 2004 playoffs.Yet it was Dwyane’s all-world showing in the playoffs that solidified his spot as one of the NBA’s brightest young performers. Wade led the Heat in scoring in seven of the team’s 13 playoff games. Dwyane’s heroics in Games Five and Six of the opening round led the Heat past the New Orleans Hornets and into the Conference semifinals against the top-seeded Indiana Pacers. While the Heat could not subdue the powerful Pacers, Dwyane left his mark on the series with monster dunks and an average of 21 points per game. There was little time afforded to reflect on all of that. In the summer of 2004, averaged 7.3 points, playing 17.5 minutes in the eight games played by Team USA on its eventful journey in Athens to an Olympic bronze medal last August. the No. 2 rated team member in registering steals against Olympic opponents, averaging slightly more than two per game. With a similar meteoric rise in college, Dwyane catapulted Marquette to the 2003 Final Four. In two years at Marquette i am became one of the most decorated players in school history where averaged 19.7 points per game, had 150 steals and 79 blocked shots. That was upstaged only by Dwyane’s history making NCAA Tournament triple-double (against No. 1 ranked Kentucky) to take the Golden Eagles to the Final Four for the first time since 1977.The first Marquette player since 1978 to earn Associated Press First Team All-America, a United States Basketball Writers First Team All-American and a National Association of Basketball Coaches Second Team All-American, finalist for the Wooden, Naismith and Oscar Robertson awards. i am burst onto the national radar when ESPN The Magazine nominated me in 2002 as Shooting Guard of the Year. Conference USA 2003 Player, and Defensive Player of the Year for what would be my last season in college. It was all a fast ride for me who concentrated on academics in my freshman year at MU as a partial qualifier from Richards High in Oak Lawn, Ill. my senior year the team was 24-5 and gained a berth in the title game of the Illinois Class AA tournament.married to my high school sweetheart, Siohvaughn. we have a 3-year old son, Zaire.

Kobe Bryant

- Kobe Bryant made most of the shots that mattered, which he didn't view as any great accomplishment. That's because there was nary a hand in his face when he took them. Bryant, celebrating what's expected to be his first NBA MVP award, converted six of his franchise playoff-record 21 foul shots in the fourth quarter, and the Los Angeles Lakers held off the Utah Jazz 109-98 Sunday to begin the second round of the playoffs. Bryant finished with 38 points, six rebounds and seven assists, and the Lakers made it five straight victories to begin the postseason after winning eight of their last nine regular-season games to earn the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. "You've got to be able to knock those free throws down. They're open looks," said Bryant, who made his first 18 foul shots before missing two of his last five to finish 21-of-23. "It's my responsibility to knock them down.".

Jamie Scott

Early life:
Scott started playing guitar and piano at age seven. He grew up listening to his parents’ classic albums, and was influenced by artists like Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. Inspired by singer/songwriters Simon and Garfunkel, Jamie Scott formed a duo in college and played acoustic shows in London. During this time, a dying aunt bought him a new piano. For the next three years, Jamie Scott spent his time playing records and writing music.

Music career:
According to his website, Jamie Scott never listened to popular, contemporary music while he was growing up.Jamie started his musical career by pursuing a publishing deal for music written for someone else to sing. When Jamie Scott sent his demo tape to publishers, they responded that they liked his voice and wanted Jamie to sing the songs for himself. Because of this, Jamie Scott signed a contract with Sony Music in 2002. He then teamed up with producer Toby Smith, a former keyboardist from Jamiroquai, to work on his full-length album. As he was working on this album, Jamie Scott played solo shows with only his acoustic guitar. He then played a Blues & Soul magazine tour. Following this, he performed with artists such as Carleen Anderson, Mario Winans, and Ginuwine.Jamie Scott writes music on his guitar, and always starts with the song first. He insists that he cannot write in a format specifically to get onto the radio. Jamie Scott’s songwriting is a way for him to make sense of life and relationships. The lyrics for his song, “Just” were inspired by “The Prophet” by Khalil Gibran. According to his website, the song, “Searching,” is about trying to make it in the record industry and not listening to people who try to bring you down. But it could also apply to any situation where you lack confidence, but are trying to appear strong.Jamie Scott’s full-length album, then titled “Soul Searching,” was scheduled to be out in early 2005. However, due to the merger between Sony and BMG, production got delayed. His newest song, “Made,” is on the soundtrack to the motion picture Step Up. Jamie Scott performs the song in the film, and he also has a brief part as the character, Colin. He also plays guitar while Drew Sidora is performing “Til the Dawn.”

Personal life:Jamie Scott is a fan of West Ham United football club. Some of his favorite artists include John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, D’Angelo, and Donny Hathaway and singer/songwriters Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne. True Faith

True Faith or Truefaith started in 1992, and since then, has become one of the Philippines' most popular and accomplished bands. The band took its name from New Order's 1987 hit single "True Faith", revealing the group's new wave origins. At first, True Faith mined mid-'80s new wave sounds for its breezy pop formula, but the group eventually ventured further into the Philippine mainstream, firmly embracing middle of the road radio.Presently, this OctoArts-EMI label band has 11 best-selling albums under its belt . Its music is best described as a blend of jazz, folk, pop and rock music. In 1993, a demo tape of the band's song "Perfect" -- a romantic ballad with jangling guitars and longing vocals à la the Railway Children and the Lotus Eaters -- hit number one on Manila Top 40 radio station DWRT (now 99.5 Campus FM). The accessibility of "Perfect" opened the doors to the masses, a much larger crowd than the cult of fans who watched them perform new wave covers in small clubs. Signed to EMI music in the Philippines, True Faith's 1995 album, Build, was the group's first big smash, elevating it to superstar status in its native land.Through the distinct powerful voice of its lead singer and founder, Medwin Marfil, the band is able to amass numerous music awards and nominations highlighted in summer of 2000 by an Music Television Asia award for Best Video Award for the video Awit Para Sa Kanya (Song For Her). Although Truefaith didn't win, the nomination brought the band back into the public spotlight. Memories Are Cheap: The Best of Truefaith, 1993-2000 was also released that year, a hugely successful overview of Truefaith's success and a look at how the group evolved from its new wave roots to becoming an easy listening icon. Since then, they've become a favorite contender in every respectable award-giving organization. As they tour the Philippines through colleges, club circuits, and radio stations, they continue to build a strong following. "Faithfools", the monicker the fans called themselves, look upon the group to hear songs they have popularized like, "Perfect", "Sumasarap ang Gising", and "Dedma".

The Teeth(band)

The Filipino Grunge band Teeth was born during Manila's alternative rock boom of the early '90s and exploded onto the airwaves with Laklak," a blistering tale of youthful excess that became an anthem for drinking. The track topped the charts of the Philippines' adventurous alternative rock station LA-105 for 12 weeks. Teeth was formed in September 1993 by Glenn Jacinto (vocals), Jerome Velasco (guitars), Peding Narvaja (bass), and Mike Dizon (drums). Narvaja, Velasco, and Dizon were originally in a group called Riftshifta, while Jacinto was in Loudhouse. Signed to Warner Music Philippines, Teeth released their self-titled debut album in 1995; the LP went double-platinum. Laklak" was re-recorded and crossed over into the mainstream, stirring controversy with its alcohol-fueled lyrics; it was voted Song of the Year at the 1995 NU 107 Rock Awards. The cheaply made video for Teeth's second single, Prinsesa," was even played on MTV Asia. However, in 1996 Jacinto was hospitalized for a lung ailment; his illness left him unable to promote the album or fulfill concert dates for a year. The band attempted using other singers to temporarily replace Jacinto, but the group's chemistry was lost. In 1997, Jacinto recovered and Teeth recorded Time Machine. Although the alternative rock scene in Manila had begun to wane, Time Machine sold enough to be certified platinum. When Narvaja left Teeth to move to the U.S., he was replaced by Andrew Sergio. In 1999, the band released I Was a Teenage Tree. The album contained the single "Shooting Star", which was awarded Song of the Year at the NU 107 Rock Awards in 2000. In 2003, Dogs Can Fly (Teeth's Finest) was released. In 1998, The Teeth’s drummer, Mike Dizon co-founded Sandwich with Eraserheads’ Drummer, Raimund Marasigan and later Pedicab in 2005.After The Teeth’s Greatest Hits was released, frontman Glenn Jacinto moved to California and he still performs regularly there. Also during 2003, former-Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia formed The Mongols with The Teeth’s Guitarist Jerome Velasco which was later joined by The Teeth’s bassist Dok Sergio. As Jerome Velasco left The Mongols in 2005 to pursue a career in audio engineering and recording, it was later renamed into Pupil. Meanwhile, Jerome Velasco remained as a co-writer and producer for Pupil’s Beautiful Machines song from the album of the same name. As of 2007, Jerome Velasco is the chief musical producer for Pupil’s second album.Jerome and Dok are both members of the dreampop / electronica band, “Daydream Cycle” with The Mongols’/Pupil’s Bogs Jugo and Rivermaya’s Japs Sergio. After the short hiatus, The Teeth still performs live without Jacinto and usually Dok Sergio takes the singing duties and sometimes other artists also take sessions as main vocals such as Ebe Dancel of Sugarfree. Sergio also sings The Teeth songs with his current band, Pupil.

About Joey De Leon

Comedy is to Joey De Leon, as Joey De Leon is to comedy. He has captured the Filipinos’ funny bone with his antics in the country’s longest running noontime show Eat Bulaga, a name he so proudly coined himself! Joey is an expert in all facets of belly-laughs, from film satires to TV gag shows. You may also catch him in Mel & Joey, with "pards" Mel Tiangco.

Joey is married to Eileen Macapagal, with whom he has three children, Jocas, Jako and Jio. He also has two children from a previous marriage with actress Daria Ramirez: TV host/actor-comedian Keempee de Leon and former teen actress Cheenee de Leon. He has four grandchildren, one from Keempee and three from Cheenee.

He started out his showbiz career in the 1960s as a radio DJ (disc jockey) for some of the top FM stations mostly owned by pre-martial law ABS-CBN. Some of his radio colleagues and contemporaries included Inday Badiday, Ike Lozada, Johnny de Leon (no relation) and Helen Vela. In a span of five years, he worked for 12 different FM stations while doing other jobs as gag writer and songwriter. His first big break on TV was IBC's gag show OK Lang which starred him alongside the Sotto brothers (Tito, Vic and Val), Ricky Manalo, Jr. and the APO Hiking Society.

In 1975, Joey became a co-host of GMA Network's early afternoon variety show Discorama hosted by Bobby Ledesma (of Student Canteen fame). At that time, the show hardly had any viewers and suffered from low ratings. While Bobby was on vacation, he told Joey to take care of the show. Joey invited his former co-stars at OK Lang, brothers Tito, Vic and Val Sotto, to join him at Discorama. Only Tito and Vic accepted Joey's invitation. The newly-formed trio started to do comedy newscast segments interspersed with Top 40 hit-song parodies written by Joey. The new comedy trio gave Discorama a new lease on life and was saved from the axe of network executives. The trio was soon invited to become part of Bobby's noontime show Student Canteen as they released 12 hit albums based on their Discorama Tough Hits segment.

Although Tito, Vic and Joey started their trio via Discorama and Student Canteen, it was the sitcom Iskul Bukol that gave them nationwide fame as comedians. Soon after, other TV and movie producers came knocking on the trio's door. In 1979, Tito, Vic and Joey started hosting for the noontime show Eat Bulaga! which was pitted against the more established Student Canteen hosted by their former colleague (and now competitor) Bobby Ledesma. Not long after, Eat Bulaga! toppled Student Canteen from the ratings.

In December 2006, Joey returned to recording with a novelty single he wrote entitled "Itaktak Mo" (Shake it off). Unlike most of his previously recorded songs where the melodies were based on past and contemporary hits, Itaktak Mo had a unique melody that can pass off as either a pop dance hit or a ballroom song. Seen by critics as his answer to the other wildly popular hit, Boom Tarat Tarat (written by Lito Camo and sung by Joey's rival host Willie Revillame), Itaktak Mo was softly launched on Eat Bulaga shortly before the Christmas season. On January 2007, the song was launched in Joey's album, Joey to the World 2 and gained airplay in most FM stations in a short span of time. Itaktak Mo has also become part of Eat Bulaga's segment "Taktak Mo o Tatakbo" that replaced "Laban o Bawi", and is also one of the official dances of the 4th batch of the reality talent search "Starstruck".

After "Itaktak Mo" became one of the most requested dance tunes this year, Joey followed it up with "Kagat Labi Song", which was launched on "Eat Bulaga" on September 22, 2007. The "Kagat Labi" dance craze was already sweeping the whole country by storm before Joey wrote it. On February 24, 2008, Joey released a single entitled "Walang Daya" (No Cheating) with lyrics comparing his love to his rival host Willie Revillame's misfortunes (Wilyonaryo, Ferrari and Ultra stampede). He first sang it at his own program "Mel and Joey". "Walang Daya" will be included in the album version of "Kagat Labi" will be released under EMI Philippines.

DAVID BATISTA

Dave Batista has been The Animal since childhood, in temper if not in name. Raised in a rough part of southeast Washington, D.C., he describes himself as being a skinny kid with asthma and a bad size complex and a penchant for getting into trouble with authorities. He spent a few years in San Francisco after his parents separated, until his mother sent the troubled teen to live with his father in suburban Virginia. By the time he turned 17, he was estranged from both parents, living on his own, and still getting into trouble. For the better part of 10 years, Batista spent his days training and competing as a bodybuilder, and his nights bouncing in clubs, floating from here to there. (Hes still amazed that one club he worked at is less than two blocks from Washington D.C.s MCI Center, where he defended his World Heavyweight Championship against JBL at SummerSlam in 2005.) His drifting stopped the night he unleashed his explosive temper on two patrons who had attacked his fellow bouncers. By the time I was finished with them, he relates, they were lying on the ground with their eyes rolling in the back of their heads. I was very scared they were going to die. They didnt, but the incident did result in Batistas arrest, a years probation, and his decision to make radical changes in his life.Enrolling in Wild Samoan Afas wrestling school in Allentown, Pa., Batista admits that at first he saw sports-entertainment simply as a way to make a living until he was told at a WCW tryout that he didnt have the chops to make it as a wrestler. That lit a fire under my a**. Wrestling became an obsession that I fell in love with. I completely redirected my training and philosophies, redesigned my body and mental outlook. I just really..

Previously he was the manager of an old famous band in the 1990’s called Rumahsakit. Thus, Ricky initiated to ask a friend at his faculty namely John Navid a.k.a Lau Kun Sin for position of additional drummer to play in one event at the BB's Bar. HARRY POTTER

Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the eponymous adolescent wizard Harry Potter, together with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, his friends from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The central story arc concerns Harry's struggle against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents in his quest to conquer the wizarding world, after which he seeks to subjugate the Muggle (non-magical) world to his rule. The stories have inspired films, video games and other themed merchandise.Since the 1997 release of the first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was retitled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States, the books have gained immense popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success worldwide.[1] As of June 2008, the book series has sold more than 400 million copies and has been translated into 65 languages, and the last four books have consecutively set records as the fastest-selling books in history.
Completion of the series
In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, "2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series." Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: "J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room (652) on 11 January 2007."Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book (in fact, the epilogue) was completed "in something like 1990". In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character "got a reprieve" and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. She also said she could see the logic in killing off Harry to stop other writers from writing books about Harry's life after Hogwarts. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.

David Archuleta, was born in Miami, Florida to James Jeffrey Archuleta and Lupe Marie Archuleta. His father, Jeff, is an American of Spanish descent, and his mother, Lupe, is a naturalized Honduran American. He has three younger siblings Amber, Daniel and Jazzy and an older sister Claudia. The family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was six and currently lives in Murray, Utah where Archuleta is a student at Murray High School. I went on to win over thirty local singing and dancing competitions.Me and my former best friend LaTavia Roberson met Kelly Rowland and LeToya Luckett. we formed a quartet that would perform in our backyards and in Tina Knowles' hair salon. After singing at local events, We got Our break when we entered Star Search. Our group, then named "Girl's Tyme", were disappointed after losing the competition. ,My father and Rowland's legal guardian, decided to help us reach their dreams of becoming singers. He quit his six-figure salary job as a multi-million dollar equipment salesman at Xerox to manage our group. This decision by my father eventually affected the whole family. Our income had been cut in half, causing us to move into two different apartments. When the group was signed to Columbia Records in 1996, it gave our entire family a second chance at making things work.
